Customer Terms
Last updated: April 2026
1. About these terms
These customer terms apply when you place an order through a restaurant storefront powered by DishGo.
DishGo is operated by COMPERA LTD, registered in England and Wales with company number 12265681.
By placing an order, you agree to these terms, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.
2. What DishGo does
DishGo is a technology platform that provides online ordering pages for independent takeaway restaurants. We provide the ordering interface and payment processing infrastructure.
When you place an order, your contract for the food and its fulfilment is directly with the restaurant, not with DishGo. We facilitate the order and payment but do not prepare, cook, or deliver the food.
3. The restaurant’s responsibilities
The restaurant is responsible for:
- The accuracy of its menu, item descriptions, and prices
- Food preparation, quality, and safety
- Allergen information and dietary labelling
- Fulfilment — preparing orders for collection and/or delivering them
- Estimated preparation and delivery times
- Handling complaints about food quality, missing items, or order accuracy
- Setting and honouring its published opening hours and availability
If you have a problem with your food or order fulfilment, you should contact the restaurant directly in the first instance.
4. Placing orders
When you submit an order through DishGo, you are making an offer to purchase from the restaurant. The order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation.
You should ensure that:
- Your order details (items, quantities, options, special instructions) are correct before submitting
- Your contact details (name, email, phone) are accurate
- For delivery orders, the delivery address is correct and complete
Restaurants may decline or cancel an order in certain circumstances, for example if an item is no longer available or the restaurant is unable to fulfil the order.
5. Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major debit and credit cards. DishGo does not store your full card details.
Prices shown on the restaurant’s ordering page are set by the restaurant and include VAT where applicable. Delivery fees, if any, are displayed before you confirm your order.
Payment is taken at the time you place your order. If the order cannot be fulfilled, a refund will be processed.
6. Collection and delivery
Collection
If you choose collection, your order will be prepared by the restaurant for you to pick up. Estimated preparation times are provided by the restaurant and are approximate.
You should collect your order within a reasonable time. The restaurant is not obligated to hold uncollected orders indefinitely.
Delivery
If you choose delivery, the restaurant is responsible for delivering your order to the address you provide. Delivery times are estimates provided by the restaurant.
You must provide an accurate delivery address and be available to receive the order. If delivery fails due to incorrect address details or unavailability, the restaurant is not obligated to redeliver or refund the order.
Minimum order amounts and delivery fees may apply and are set by the restaurant.
7. Cancellations and refunds
For a plain-language explanation of cancellations and refunds, see our Refunds & Cancellations page.
In general:
- Once an order is confirmed and preparation has begun, cancellation may not be possible
- If the restaurant cancels your order, you will receive a full refund
- Refunds for issues with food quality, missing items, or incorrect orders are handled by the restaurant
- DishGo may assist in facilitating refunds where appropriate
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card provider and typically take 5–10 business days.
8. Allergens and dietary information
Allergen and dietary information displayed on the ordering page is provided by the restaurant. DishGo does not verify this information.
If you have allergies or specific dietary requirements, you should contact the restaurant directly before ordering to confirm that your meal is safe.
9. Your responsibilities
When using DishGo, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and contact information
- Use the platform lawfully and responsibly
- Not place fraudulent or abusive orders
- Not attempt to manipulate or abuse any refund or complaint processes
- Be available to collect or receive your order at the agreed time and location
10. Liability
DishGo provides the ordering platform and payment infrastructure. We are not liable for:
- Food quality, safety, preparation, or taste
- Accuracy of menu descriptions, allergen information, or dietary labels
- Late, missed, or failed deliveries
- Actions or omissions of the restaurant
To the maximum extent permitted by law, COMPERA LTD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint about your order (food quality, missing items, fulfilment), contact the restaurant first.
If the restaurant does not resolve your complaint, or if you have a complaint about the DishGo platform itself, contact us at support@dishgo.uk.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
