For restaurant owners
Add an online ordering link to Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile can send Search and Maps visitors to the page where customers actually order. dishGO is an online ordering platform for independent UK restaurants and takeaways: you create your own collection and delivery page, then add that URL as a custom ordering link.
Creating an account is the first step. The ordering page accepts live orders after you add the restaurant, menu, ordering hours and Stripe payments.
Why owners add their own link
Customers who find you on Google often want to order collection or delivery without opening a marketplace app. A custom link points them at your page, on your terms. dishGO charges a 3.5% platform fee per successful order and has no monthly subscription. Stripe processing fees apply separately.
This guide does not replace Google’s official Help article on managing online ordering options. Labels and availability can differ by country. In some regions the controls sit under an Order online button; in others, Place an order links appear separately on the profile.
You need a working ordering URL first
Google can only link to a page that already exists. Create a dishGO restaurant account, finish onboarding, connect Stripe and switch ordering on. Then copy the public storefront URL from your settings. If you connect a custom subdomain, use that address so customers stay on your domain.
Running a takeaway? The takeaway ordering workflow covers menus, hours, collection and delivery. See dishGO live on public restaurant pages. Fee examples are on pricing.
Steps in Google Business Profile
Step 1
Open Food ordering on your Business Profile
Go to your Google Business Profile and select Food ordering. Google’s Help Centre is the source for these controls and for any later UI changes.
Step 2
Turn on Accept orders on your profile
If this setting is off, Google hides the third-party options and custom links you add. Turn it on before you paste a link.
Step 3
Add your own ordering URL
At the bottom of the list, choose Add a link. Paste the dishGO ordering URL you already use on your website or social profiles — for example your custom subdomain, or the dishGO storefront link shown in your restaurant settings.
Step 4
Set it as preferred, if it matches what you offer
Google lets you mark a provider or custom link as preferred for pickup, delivery, or both. dishGO calls pickup collection. Only enable the options you actually fulfil.
Step 5
Save, then tidy other links
Save your changes. If a marketplace or other provider appears and you do not want it listed, select that link and choose Remove link. Google says providers must process a removal request within five business days.
What dishGO does not claim
dishGO gives you the ordering page and the URL. We do not automatically become an Order with Google provider, and we do not control whether Google shows a button, how quickly a new link appears, or which other providers Google lists. Third-party services can appear if they tell Google they have a relationship with your business.
Common questions
- Can I use a dishGO page if I already list marketplaces?
- Yes. Add your dishGO URL as a custom link and, if you want customers to prefer it, mark it as preferred for pickup and/or delivery. Remove marketplace links you no longer want shown.
- Does this work for collection-only takeaways?
- Yes. Enable collection on your dishGO page and, in Google, prefer the link for pickup only. Leave delivery off if you do not deliver.
- Where do I see fees?
- dishGO has no monthly subscription. The platform fee is 3.5% per successful order. See pricing, Stripe and refund rules.
